Desert Diamond Breaks Ground on New Casino in West Valley Tohono O’odham Gaming Enterprise has unveiled their ambitious $450 Million casino project near Loop 303 and Northern Parkway.
Designed by JCJ Architecture, it will comprise of a hotel, conference center, outdoor pool and amphitheater/event lawn space. Construction should take approximately 19 months.
Slot Machines
The casino features an extensive selection of electronic slot machines and traditional table games such as blackjack, roulette and poker – as well as an exclusive poker room offering cash games and tournaments.
The Tohono O’odham Nation will own and operate five Desert Diamond casinos across Arizona, each one located near Loop 303 and Northern Parkway in west Glendale. Their arched roofline invites drivers into the facility.

Branded as Desert Diamond New Casino it will join existing operations in Tucson, Sahuarita and Why by this tribe.

This casino will feature table games including poker, blackjack and roulette as well as a sportsbook and retail sportsbook as well as restaurant services. Construction will last around 19 months.

West Valley Casino will replace a temporary casino that opened in 2015 operating with only Class II gaming license which only permitted bingo machines and non-Class III games such as poker. Under their new gaming license they can offer Vegas-style slots along with other Class III offerings.
